Your peace of mind is our concern
Since mid-March, the national carrier Bulgaria Air has been operating in accordance with all the recommendations of the health authorities, as the introduced measures fully comply with the recommendations announced yesterday by the European Union. The airline has established the necessary organization to provide a distance of 1.5 meters between passengers. For times when this is not possible, the EU recommends that passengers wash their hands more often. For this purpose, hot water, soap and disinfectants are provided on board.
The same organization for maintaining a safe distance is duly provided by airport operators. In parallel with the thermal cameras, through which each passenger must pass, the check-in counters at Sofia Airport are equipped with plexiglass windows. In order to limit social contacts as much as possible, Bulgaria Air recommends its passengers to take advantage of the free online check-in service 24 hours before the flight, as well as to avoid paying in cash. It is possible to pay by bank card.
Wearing masks during the flights of "Bulgaria Air" is mandatory for both crews and passengers. Crews must also wear sanitary gloves to serve passengers.
Before and after each flight, the airline's aircraft are thoroughly cleaned and thoroughly disinfected. The quality and purification of the air during the flight is ensured through special systems. All Bulgaria Air aircraft are equipped with HEPA filtering systems, which ensure constant circulation of heat-treated air with temperatures up to over 200 degrees, thus limiting the possible spread of any contamination by air.
The national carrier Bulgaria Air has created the necessary organization for safe and secure flight for all its passengers and calls on all passengers to be responsible to each other, following the orders of the authorities, respecting the required distance and fulfilling the requirement to wear a mask during the flight.
Bulgaria Air currently operates all its scheduled flights, except for destinations to which there are active bans. The airline flies the following direct routes from Sofia to: Amsterdam, London, Brussels, Paris, Berlin, Frankfurt, Vienna, Prague, Zurich, Madrid, Barcelona, Malaga, Palma de Mallorca, Athens, Milan, Rome, Larnaca, as well as domestic routes. Varna and Burgas. The flights to the sea capital Varna are performed all year round, during the summer season three times a day, and the seasonal flights to Bourgas from June 29 are one flight every day. Bulgaria Air has suspended flights only to Russia and Israel, as well as seasonal flights to Portugal and Lebanon, until the bans are lifted by local authorities.
