Bulgaria Air is to resume flights to/from Tel Aviv as of 26 December
In order to improve the conditions for operating civil flights in Israeli airspace, the national carrier is to resume its flights to and from Tel Aviv as of 26 December 2024.
Flights on Bulgaria Air's regular route from Sofia to Israel's capital and back will be operated during daylight hours - morning and afternoon. By the end of the year and in January 2025, flights will be twice a week - on Mondays and Thursdays, and in February the frequency will rise to three flights, with an additional flight on Tuesdays. Further information on the flight schedule and current travel conditions can be found on the airline's official website in the Destinations section.
The decision has been taken following a stabilisation of the situation in the Middle East region and a careful risk and safety assessment of passengers and crews. The national carrier will continue to monitor the situation and act in accordance with international recommendations and safety measures.
