Bulgaria Air starts disinfecting aircraft with the ultra-modern UV technology Honeywell UV Cabin System II

The national carrier Bulgaria Air is the first airline on our market which introduce a new extremely modern and innovative UV technology for disinfection of its aircraft. From the beginning of November, in addition to the previous disinfection with certified preparations and to provide its passengers with the highest degree of protection and comfort when traveling, before each flight the premises in the aircraft will be treated with a specially designed system with ultraviolet rays (UV) - Honeywell UV Cabin System II. The technology has been proven to kill all viruses and bacteria from smooth surfaces.

The machine is specially adapted for aviation, similar to the UV disinfection system used in hospitals and COVID wards. It has extendable UV arms that treat the seats, surfaces and cabins of the aircraft without the use of cleaning chemicals. Hard-to-reach areas in the aircraft can also be disinfected thanks to a removable lamp, boarded in a completely sterile salon.

That is why, since the beginning of the pandemic, we have been taking exceptional care of disinfection on board of our aircrafts. The commissioning of the new machine is another step in this direction, and thus our aim is to offer the highest level of security to our passengers."- explained the executive director of Bulgaria Air Hristo Todorov.

The machine has already been put into operation by the world carrier Qatar Airways and Bulgaria Air is the only airline operating flights on our market, which is starting to use it for disinfection of its aircrafts.
