First Direct Flight on the Varna - Prague - Varna Route of Bulgaria Air

On 23 June 2024 the first flight of the new direct line of Bulgaria Air from our maritime capital Varna to the Czech jewel in Central Europe – Prague, took place. The airline's aircraft from Prague was solemnly welcomed at Varna Airport with a traditional water salute, as well as with surprises for the passengers - small gifts for the first passengers arriving in the country.

The new seasonal route of the national carrier from Varna to Prague offers convenient flights twice a week - on Wednesdays and Sundays. The City of 100 Spires is great to visit all year round, and in summer Prague will impress you with its music and theatre festivals. The zoo in the Czech capital is also known as one of the best in the world.

The Czech capital is located in the western part of the country, on the banks of the Vltava river. It is a fairytale to its last cobbled street, castle or tower.

Any keen traveller's walk can't fail to pass the charming cathedral square in the Old City, filled with amazing baroque houses, cafes and shops. Among the city's most iconic sites are the Municipal Building, an Art Nouveau palace, the iconic Charles Bridge with its statues of 30 Christian saints, and the famous Astronomical Clock with its medieval mechanism dating from 1490, which are truly remarkable. 

The National Museum of the Czech Republic has a number of impressive natural history and history collections, and the city's centuries-old spirit is felt most strongly in Prague Castle, which is renowned as one of the largest and most ancient castles in the world. The Petřín Tower is not to be missed for its magnificent view over the whole of Prague and a visit to the Dancing House, which was the brainchild of Vaclav Havel.
