Bulgaria Air and Air Serbia have Signed a New Cooperation Agreement
At the end of October, an official meeting in Belgrade brought together representatives of the two airlines to continue the successful cooperation for the lease of Embraer 190 aircraft from the fleet of Bulgaria Air to be used on the network of scheduled routes of Air Serbia.
Following the successful cooperation during the summer season, a new contract for leasing the aircraft for another year was signed during the meeting, which was attended by the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Bulgaria Air Hristo Todorov and Maria Stoyanova, General Manager of Charter Operations and Aircraft Leasing at the company. From Air Serbia management at the official meeting were Jiří Marek, CEO of the company, Boško Rupić - General Manager of Sales and Strategy and Bojan Arandjelović - Head of Network Planning and Scheduling.
The two airlines discussed the expansion of cooperation between them and agreed that such cooperation would be beneficial both for the development of the aviation business of the two airlines and for the development of bilateral ties between the countries.
As in the past season, Bulgaria Air's aircraft will continue to fly regular flights under the code of the Serbian national carrier JU, but their external branding and the uniforms of all crews will continue to bear the logo of Bulgaria Air and the colours of the Bulgarian flag.
The signing of the new contract between the two carriers this autumn comes exactly 10 years after the signing of the codeshare contract for the Belgrade-Sofia-Belgrade route in 2014. Thus, in 2024, the two airlines give a clear signal to consolidate the existing partnership and expand it in the field of their joint activities, following the established traditions and close cooperation in civil aviation in the Balkans.
