Bulgaria Air launches codeshare partnership with Azerbaijan Airlines

In May 2024, Bulgaria Air signed a key agreement and launched a new codeshare partnership with Azerbaijan Airlines (AZAL), which opened a direct route between the two countries' capitals.

Customers of Bulgaria’s national carrier will be able to book their seats on the aircraft for direct flights from the Azerbaijani capital to Sofia and vice versa, with two frequencies during the week - Tuesday and Friday. AZAL's flights to and from Baku start on 7 June 2024 and can be combined with a convenient transfer to popular Asian destinations.         

Due to the bilateral agreement and codeshare cooperation between the two airlines, arriving passengers from Azerbaijan will have convenient schedules and connections to Varna, Burgas, and other destinations in Bulgaria Air's European network.
