Change of terminals which operate the Bulgaria Air flights at the airports of Rome, Madrid and Prague due to joining Schengen

Dear passengers,

We kindly inform you that, due to the fact that Bulgaria will be part of the Schengen area, as of 31 March 2024, the national carrier shall fly to and from different terminals of three European airports: Rome, Prague and Madrid. The newly appointed terminals are intended for Shcnegen flights and provide our customers with better transport connections and, therefore, save precious time by eliminating the passport control.

As a result of the modification, as of 31 March 2024, all operations for Bulgaria Air passengers stall take place at Terminal 1 and the Schengen reserved zone (A1-83), instead of Terminal 3 of Fiumicino Airport in the Italian capital Rome – registration for a flight, baggage drop-off, as well as connecting flights. Arrivals at and departures of Bulgaria Air flights shall be transferred to Terminal 4 ofBarajas Airport – Madrid from the current T4S. The change shall take place as of the date of entry of Bulgaria in the Schengen zone, i.e. March 31. From this date on, passengers should show up at gates H, J and K which are intended to service Bulgarian flights, both departures and arrivals. The airport of the Czech capital Prague shall also change the check-in and incoming connecting flights terminal due to the fact that our country is joining Shengen. Keep in mind that from the beginning of the summer season – 1 April 2024 – Vaclav Havel Airport Prague shall operate flights from and to Bulgaria at Terminal 2.
