The ban on British citizens entering Bulgaria has been lifted

Admitted to Bulgaria with a starting point of departure from Great Britain are Bulgarian citizens and persons with the status of permanent, long-term or long-term residence on the territory of the Republic of Bulgaria and members of their families; citizens of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, the EU, the EEA, the Swiss Confederation and members of their families.
They will be allowed on the territory of the country upon presentation of the following documents: vaccination certificate certified by a valid digital COVID EU vaccination certificate or a similar document containing the same data as the EU digital COVID certificate or disease certificate or similar document, AT THE SAME TIME with a negative result of a polymerase chain reaction test for COVID-19 conducted up to 72 hours before entry into the country, certified by a valid EU digital COVID test certificate or an analogous document containing the same data as the EU digital COVID certificate.
In case the persons do not have a certificate for vaccination or illness, they must present a negative result from a PCR test and are subject to a 10-day quarantine.
Exceptions are the admission in respect of Bulgarian citizens and persons with the status of permanent, long-term or long-term residence on the territory of Bulgaria and the members of their families. They will be admitted WITHOUT the specified documents / vaccination certificate, for illness or negative result of PCR test /, but will be subject to 10-day quarantine after arrival in the country.
COVID documents are not required for children under the age of 12, regardless of the country of arrival.
Children aged 12 to 18 who arrive in the country from a country falling into the red zone are admitted upon presentation of a negative result from a PCR test conducted up to 72 hours before entering the country, certified by a valid EU digital COVID certificate for testing or a similar document containing the same data as the EU digital COVID certificate for testing. In case they do not provide such a document, they shall be quarantined for a period of 10 days in the home or other accommodation where it is stated that they will reside, with a prescription issued by the director of the respective regional health inspectorate or authorized by him. deputy director. The quarantine is revoked if a test is performed within 24 hours and a document is presented showing a negative result from the conducted examination.
