Up to date information for travelers to the Czech Republic
Dear passengers,
We would like to inform you about the travel restrictions related to travels to the Czech Republic.
From November 22, 2021 the Czech Republic Government changed the conditions for entry, accommodation and events.
Visitors must have completed vaccination cycle with an EMA-approved vaccine at least 14 days before the visit to the country, or have recovered from COVID-19 in the last 180 days, as evidenced by a certificate.
Exceptions:
- Individuals under age of 12 years.
- Providing a negative
PCR test result (not older than 72 hours) is sufficient for:
• Individuals under age of 18 years.
• Individuals who have started but have not completed a vaccination cycle yet.
• Individuals who have completed a vaccination cycle less than 14 days before the day of their visit to the country.
• Individuals who prove the need to book and use accommodation for business purposes (refers only to accommodation services).
The "traffic light" system and other travel restrictions remain in force. From November 22, 2021, Bulgaria falls into the "dark red group", and the division of the countries is as follows: - Green Group: Argentina, Australia, Bahrain, Canada, Chile, Colombia, Hong Kong, Jordan, Kuwait, Macau, Namibia, New Zealand, Peru, Qatar, Rwanda, Saudi Arabia, South Korea, Taiwan, United Arab Emirates, Uruguay and the Vatican;
- Orange Group: France, Italy, Malta, Monaco, Portugal (including the Azores) and Spain;
- Red Group: Cyprus, Finland, Luxembourg, Norway, Poland, Romania, San Marino, Sweden and Switzerland, the Balearic Islands, the Canary Islands and Madeira;
- ‘Dark Red Group’: Andorra, Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Denmark, Estonia, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, the Netherlands, Slovakia, Slovenia and countries not mentioned above.
The division of the countries into "traffic light" groups is updated on a weekly basis in accordance with the current situation. The current section, including a map, can be found on the website of the Ministry of Health of the Czech Republic.
We would also like to ask you to always remind your passengers during flights from or to Prague to prepare all the necessary documents before their trip to the airport and to arrive at the airport three hours before the time of departure.
In general, anyone traveling to the Czech Republic should have:
- Travel document (ID card or passport);
- Digital COVID certificate of the EU (vaccination certificate, negative test result or recovery confirmation from COVID-19 with appropriate validity)
- Passenger location form .
